New Hingham Elementary’s two-story Main Hall serves as a “Town Common” for this rural, Pre-K to 6th grade educational community. Daylit by a clerestory, the hall provides access to the gymnasium, a cafeteria with “sugarhouse” clerestory windows, library and staff offices. Classrooms extend away from the hall in a T-shaped wing that encourages interaction between grade levels.
