Pratt Memorial Library/Arms Library

The historic beaux arts Pratt Memorial Library Building housing the Arms Library was built in 1914. Jones Whitsett Architects served as the restoration architect for the historically sensitive project. Working with Structures North Consulting for structural engineering services JWA coordinated copper roofing and limestone parapet repairs in 2014. Foundation waterproofing and insulation followed in 2016. In 2018 JWA interior renovations, electrical and HVAC upgrades and in Fall of 2019 the project was completed to great community fanfare. In 2020 the Library was awarded the Building Block of Preservation Award by Preservation Massachusetts.
