Kristian Whitsett, AIA

 

Principal

Kristian Whitsett co-directs the firm with Dorrie Brooks, AIA. He coordinates architectural design, client communication, public outreach, and documentation for a variety of projects. Kristian graduated from Oberlin College with High Honors in 2001 and received his Master of Architecture from California State Polytechnic University in 2008 with the AIA Henry Adams Medal, and a concentration in Sustainability.  Kristian has worked in Massachusetts, California and Vermont.

With a solid background in construction methods, public procurement, and sustainable design, he brings a well-rounded and balanced perspective to every project. A consensus builder, Kristian appreciates the opportunity to work with building committees, and reaching out to diverse stakeholders.

Kristian is active in his community of Shelburne Falls, working with various committees, including the Town Energy Committee, and is the previous Chair of the Finance Committee. He is also the current President of the Western Massachusetts chapter of the AIA.
