DIAL/SELF Northampton Youth Housing

This four unit micro-housing project expands the affordable housing options of young adults living in Northampton who might otherwise be at risk of homelessness. Jones Whitsett Architects designed this project in close collaboration with DIAL/SELF, a support agency assisting young adults in living independently. Located along Locust Street in Northampton, the new building includes staff offices to support DIAL/SELF's mission. The design presents a modern take on vernacular, farmhouse architecture in keeping with the existing residential context. A grant through Northeast Solar provided photovoltaic panels to meet the building's net energy needs.
